The author, Chris Connellan, was born in Alice Springs in 1948 and has lived in the bush and around aeroplanes most of his life.  His story centres around his experiences growing up in the Centre and his family’s history with Connellan Airways.  His childhood perspective reveals the pioneering nature of the times.
