Flying Archies - the people have spoken

118 visitors voted in the inaugural Flying Archies People's Choice Awards. First placing ($1000) went to Alison Mapleson's 'Tony Byrnes' a pencil on paper drawing of aircraft engineer & private pilot, Tony Byrnes. (Below: Award accepted by  Jude Mapleson)

Second placing ($500) - J9 Stanton's 'Queen of the Sky' an oil on canvas painting of retired women's trail blazing pilot, Christine Davy.

Congratulations to all 17 artists who exhibited a strong interpretation of outback aviation characters in multiple mediums.
