Meet the Visionaries, Heroes, and Villains
The Aviation Museum celebrates the spirit, determination and courage of the people who founded Aviation in the centre of Australia through displays and stories. It is volunteer run, open daily, and entry is by donation.
Rolls Royce Returns
The 1920 Silver-Ghost Rolls Royce bought by the fledgling Connellan Airways in late 1939, converted to a working Ute and used to drag logs behind to smooth the ground for landing strips in the bush.
The late Senator Bern Kilgariff OAM AM cleared strips with it as a 16 year old.
This iconic vehicle, previously housed at the Alice Springs Airport, is now on display in the Heritage listed Connellan Airways hangar along with other aviation history.
